Guidelines for Makeup in summer

When the heat and humidity of summer arrives, there are a lot of lifestyle changes that have to be done – keeping hydrated, wearing shades and hats, and making changes in the makeup products used. This is essential to avoid makeup running down your face with sweat or turning cakey by mid-afternoon.

To get around this issue, use sweat proof mineral makeup, but again do not make it a matter of routine if you have sensitive skin. Sweat proof foundation and makeup have silicones as ingredients. It is very effective for keeping out sweat and moisture but also clogs pores, reducing skin breathability and resulting in acne and other blemishes. In such cases, light makeup is the best option as it can be easily removed.

However, changing your makeup products in summer to sweat proof mineral makeup and then going back to the old ones in fall can be a very expensive proposition.

Hence, follow these tips to sweat proof your makeup in summer without buying a new set.
First, use a setting spray. It can make any type of makeup sweat proof, and prevent it from running down the face. This method works equally well with both liquid and powder foundation and makeup.
Second, use a primer. It is almost mandatory as it helps the makeup last throughout the day without smudging, even in severely hot climates.

Finally, use a sealant as part of your makeup routine. Put a few drops in the makeup before applying it on the face. This too will keep the makeup smudge proof right through the day.
